Bangkok, Thailand, 7 March 2022 - Prudential Life Assurance Public Company Limited (Prudential Thailand) has officially opened its new office at Mitrtown Office Tower (Samyan Mitrtown), investing in a new workplace designed to create a fun, healthy and collaborative work environment where employee wellbeing is prioritised. Developed under the concept of ‘Authentic Thai Spirit of Modern Workspace’, the new office combines contemporary architecture with traditional Thai elements.
Celebrating the occasion with Prudential was Guest-of-Honour Mark Gooding OBE, British Ambassador to Thailand and Anchilee Scott-Kemmis, Miss Universe Thailand 2021.
Mr. Robin Spencer, CEO of Prudential Thailand, said the new office marks an important milestone in the company’s ongoing journey to become more agile and customer-focused.
“We are making significant investments in technology platforms and people. We want a future-ready workforce that is able to grow and succeed in supporting our customers to get the most out of life by making insurance more affordable and more accessible,” said Mr. Spencer.
He added that Prudential Thailand is prioritising the health and wellbeing of its employees. “To help our customers live better lives, we believe it is important that we provide meaningful support to our own staff to focus on wellness. The new workplace will help encourage and motivate our employees to deliver a great customer experience and also provide positive contributions to society as a whole," Mr. Spencer, added.
Anchilee Scott-Kemmis, Miss Universe Thailand 2021, said, "Prudential's agile work philosophy, like my own beliefs, always puts wellbeing first, whether it be physical or mental health. It goes beyond exterior beauty, and I think taking care of your inner self is important in order to function as a human being. This is also what the 'Real Size Beauty' campaign is truly about. It is about celebrating everyone as an everyday people.”
A workplace blending creativity, collaboration and wellness
The company promotes both mental health and physical wellbeing in the new office through wellness rooms and a clinic staffed by a doctor and nurse on standby during working hours. As part of Prudential’s partnership with MyDoC, employees can easily book appointments at the clinic through the Pulse by Prudential mobile app and manage their health from anywhere and anytime. Mental wellbeing is also supported by a 24/7 counselling programme for Prudential’s employees and their family.
The new workplace engages employees with activity-based working options and areas for experimentation and exploration of ideas. It also includes social spaces for greater collaboration and connection among colleagues.
Yajai Singruangdej, a Scrum Master at Prudential Thailand, said the new office design makes them feels so comfortable it is as if they were working from home.
“It helps me find and unleash my inner potential with the flexible working environment, supported by Prudential Thailand’s agile work philosophy. It promotes team work and collaborative effort that is both fun and motivational.”
