Prudential Thailand and Eastspring Investments finish respiratory treatment unit construction
Bangkok, Thailand, 29 July 2021 - Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited (“Prudential Thailand”) and Eastspring Investments, a leading Asia-based asset manager, have donated funds to support the construction of an Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) and Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic at Priest Hospital.
A donation amounted more than 5 million Baht was used to support the construction of Airborne Infection Isolation Room and ARI Clinics at four hospitals; namely 1) Golden Jubilee Medical Center, 2) Vajira Hospital, 3) Hatyai Hospital, and 4) Priest Hospital. The donation was part of the Prudential COVID-19 Relief Fund, which had been distributed among Prudential’s markets in Asia, Africa and the US to support charitable and community projects tackling the immediate impact of the pandemic and its social and economic consequences.

Respiratory treatment facilities are currently in high demand to help fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

AIIR and ARI Clinic rooms are designed to provide treatment for patients with respiratory diseases, such as COVID-19.
Each facility consists of screening, examination, and sample collection areas as well as a positive and a negative pressure. This helps isolate patients from others, helping control any potential community spread and protecting medical professionals, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The construction is supported by CPAC using its Green Construction solutions and CPAC BIM digital construction technology for the highest safety of medical professionals.
